Shift Leader Wanted for Leading Manufacturing Company

Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing industry, is looking for a dedicated Shift Leader to strengthen the team during an evening shift. Here you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a production team in a dynamic environment.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Shift Leader/Production Coordinator, you will ensure efficient and safe production. You will lead a team of approximately 20 process operators, drive daily management and improvement efforts, and ensure that procedures and quality standards are followed. Your role is crucial in optimizing capacity and minimizing downtime on the production line.

The position is a consulting assignment where you will be employed as a project consultant with us at Academic Work and then work at our client’s site, located in Gothenburg. This is a temporary position, thus a fixed-term employment of 9-12 months applies.

⏱️ Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 1:30 PM - 10:10 PM
Friday: 1:00 PM - 6:50 PM

OB compensation applies according to collective agreement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

The role includes daily management of production, personnel management, and active work with improvements to ensure quality and efficiency.

• Lead and allocate work for production staff during the evening shift.
• Conduct start-up meetings and daily follow-up of production.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, safety regulations, and 5S standards.
• Optimize production line capacity and minimize downtime.
• Monitor key metrics such as OEE, waste, and quality.
• Drive improvement work and promote engagement within the team.
• Manage personnel issues such as well-being, regulations, and work environment - contact with trade unions may occur.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has experience from industry, process industry, or FMCG.
• Has a natural and secure leadership style.
• Has the ability to set demands and follow up.
• Is social and present in production.
• Has fluent knowledge of Swedish and English as it is required in daily work.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in leadership or production management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Business Central.
• Experience with union contacts, preferably within Livs.
• Knowledge of Lean work or change management.
• Familiarity with work environment and food safety standards.
